SIGMOBILE Distinguished Service Award
Awarded on the basis of value and level of services to the Mobile Networking and Wireless Communications Community. The award recognizes contributions to ACM SIGMOBILE, its conferences, publications, or its local activities.
SIGMOBILE Award for Outstanding Contributions to Research on Mobility of Systems, Users, Data and Computing
Recognizes an individual who has made a significant and lasting contribution to the research on mobile communications and wireless networking. The contribution can be a single event or a lifetime of achievement. The award is presented at one of ACM SIGMOBILE's conferences during the ensuing year, and includes a plaque and a monetary award of $2500.
SIGMOBILE Doctoral Dissertation Award
Recognizes excellent thesis research by doctoral candidates in the field of mobile computing and wireless networks. The award includes a plaque, a $1,000 honorarium and a complimentary registration to one of the following year’s ACM SIGMOBILE Conferences.
SIGMOBILE RockStar Award
This award recognizes an individual who has made recent outstanding research or product contributions to the field of mobile computing during the early part of his or her career. The award includes a plaque and a monetary award of $2500.
SIGMOBILE Test-of-Time Paper Award
These awards recognize papers that have had a sustained and significant impact in the SIGMOBILE community over at least a decade. The award includes a $500 honorarium for each paper to be split amongst the authors and an award certificate of recognition for each author.

SIGKDD Impact Program Awards
ACM SIGKDD announced seven recipients for its inaugural KDD Impact Program, which aims to fund projects that have the potential for maximum impact on society. The proposals covered training data scientists; a hackathon; use of algorithms by government; women data science leaders; a summer school for high school students; data science for social good; and promoting community understanding of Big Data.
Apply for SIGHPC/Intel Computational & Data Science Fellowships
ACM SIGHPC and Intel are encouraging graduate students in data science and computational science to apply for an international program of graduate fellowships that aims to increase diversity in these fields. To qualify, you must be pursuing a graduate degree in computational or data science, be less than halfway through your planned program of study, and be woman and/or a member of a racial/ethnic group that is currently underrepresented in the computing field in the country where you will earn the degree. The deadline for applications is April 30.
